About the movement

Educate. Unite. Empower.

The Coalition of Independents was formed to move The Bahamas from corruption, dependency and exclusion toward a nation of informed citizens, independent leaders and Bahamian owners standing together.

What is a coalition?

Different independent voices, joined by a common purpose.

A coalition is the joining together of political organisations and independent candidates around a shared goal. The COI exists to help Bahamians benefit from their country, Constitution, legislation and natural resources.

We believe public power belongs to the people. Our task is to become responsible gatekeepers for Bahamian opportunity and to build institutions that are transparent, accountable and capable of delivering national progress.

Our story

From activism to a national political movement.

The COI grew from years of public education, civic action and a conviction that Bahamians should own the value they create.

Vision 2030

National leadership

People prepared to pay the price of service.

Leadership is measured by courage, record, accountability and a willingness to stand with citizens when it matters.
